ACTIVITY OVERVIEW

In this activity we will:
  • Use the Algebra1 Part 1 application to review and practice real number categories and properties

The Algebra 1 Part1 application covers many of the topics for algebra 1 in a presentation and practice method.  Press the  key and select ALG1PRT1. Press . Press any key to continue.  You are on the first page if you have the chapter menu, like the one of the right. If not, press the key below the up softkey. no alt text supplied
Select 1: Number Sense by pressing the 1 key. In the Number Sense menu, select 3: Real Numbers by pressing the 3.  You will then see the screen at the right.

Select 1:Overview by pressing the 1 or .  You will notice in the bottom there are two flashing arrows. These are your navigation keys. You can go left or right.

By viewing the overview and observation pages, you will review or learn about real numbers-their categories and properties. Where it suggests you use your worksheet, you can use your notebook.  
Once you have completed the overview and observations, you will reach the REAL NUMBERS ACTIVITIES.

The two activities are RAINING REALS and WHAT IS MY PROPERTY? Raining Reals requires you to direct falling number to an irrational or rational landing. IF your choice is incorrect, you will get feedback.  IF you are correct, then the next number will fall. no alt text supplied
What’s my property presents you with equations and choices for the property used in the equation. You can use the arrow key to select the property and then press to indicate your choice.
 
Do these games with a partner. Each of you can play on a calculator and keep track of your progress.
