| In the example to the right, you are given 80% and are asked to convert it to a fraction. ALL FRACTIONS MUST BE IN COMPLETELY REDUCED FORM. |
| Additional rules: Improper fractions must be entered as mixed numbers. Percents must include the percent sign. For a repeating fraction, you should place the cursor on the number that repeats and press the BAR softkey. | |
| Each problem is timed. You will see the dashes around the clock disappear as time increases. You must answer before the last dash disappears. Otherwise, your answer does not count for points. |
| There are 3 levels in the game-bronze, Silver and Gold. The game becomes more difficult as you move up the scale. |
| When you finish a round, you are asked to put you initials in the game. |
| EXTENSION When you have mastered rational timer, you can move on to rational match. You pick pairs of numbers and are asked if they are equivalent. You are given points if they match and you are correct. You are not penalized if they are not a match and you say they are not equal. |
| Here you are presented a fraction and a percent and asked if they are equal or not. You will eventually want to match all the equivalent pairs as you uncover them. |
